A

ASCII: The character set and code described in American National Standard Code for Information Interchange, ANSI X3.4-1977. Each ASCII character is encoded with seven bits.

B

Barcode: Barcode is a sequence of machine-readable lines of varying width which contain data in a visual format. The barcode uses a sequence of vertical bars and spaces to represent numbers and other symbols.

Barcode Font: Barcode font is a collection of characters (both textual and symbolic) that share common visual elements between all characters of one size of one type style in barcode.

Barcode Label:A barcode label is a visual image attached to any item or product with a unique number and comprises of vertical lines which contains machine readable data.

Barcode Printer: A barcode printer is a computer peripheral for printing barcode labels or tags that can be attached to any physical objects.

Barcode Scanner: A barcode scanner is an optical scanning device designed to read information printed in the form of bars of different sizes on barcode labels.

Barcode Software: Barcode software is an efficient program to develop professional good-looking barcode images that can easily be printed by barcode scanners and printers.

BMP: BMP is a raster graphics format developed by Microsoft. BMP is the native graphics format for Windows users. A BMP image data can be uncompressed or compressed using RLE scheme. The file size is generally much bigger than other types since the compression scheme is not very effective.

Code 39 Barcode: Code 39 (also called 3 of 9) is easy to print barcode label generator used in various fields such as badges, Inventory and Industrial applications. 39 standard barcode supports different characters including Uppercase Letters (A-Z), Numbers (0-9), Space Character, Special Characters (- . $ / + %).

Code 39 Full ASCII Barcode Font: Code 39 is a barcode symbology that supports all ASCII characters is widely used in industry and can be decoded with virtually any barcode reader.

Code 93 Barcode: Code 93 barcode label is primarily used in postal services to encode supplementary delivery information with support to Numbers: (0-9), Uppercase Letters: (A-Z), Space Character, Special Characters (- . $ / + %).

Codabar Barcode: Codabar standard is often used in libraries, blood banks, parcels and more areas. This standard supports different symbology consisting numbers (0-9) and special characters (- : . $ / +).

Code11 Barcode: Code 11 standard barcode label is a high-density numeric barcode used Primarily for labeling telecommunications equipment. This barcode label supports the symbology consisting numbers (0-9) and Symbol (-).

Code 128: Code 128 is a very high-density barcode symbology. It is used for alphanumeric or numeric-only barcodes. This code is used widely in shipping and packaging industries worldwide. Its supported character set includes All ASCII Characters.

Code 128 Set A Barcode: Code 128 Set A barcode supports alphanumeric characters including Numbers: 0-9, Uppercase Letters: A-Z, Space Character, Special Characters (! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) _ + \ = - , . / ; ' [ ] : " < > ?).

This type of barcode font is commonly used for inventory and tracking purpose.

Code 128 Set B Barcode: Code 128 Set B barcode supports all ASCII characters. This easier barcode font is mainly used in shipping and inventory field.

Code 128 Set C Barcode: Code 128 Set C barcode font supports (0-9) numbers only. This type of barcode symbology is used in inventory, shipping and industry.

E

EAN13 Barcode Font: EAN13 is one of two versions of the EAN and is a superset of UPC. An EAN-13 barcode is a barcoding standard used worldwide for marking products often sold at retail point of sale. EAN is an extension to UPC-A to include the country information. Its supported character set includes (0-9) numbers only.

EAN8 Barcode Font: EAN-8 is a barcode and is derived from the longer EAN-13 code. Its supported character set includes (0-9) numbers only. It is primarily used in retail product marking worldwide with limited label space.

G

GIF:Acronym for Graphics Interchange Format. GIF is a bitmap image format encoding up to 256 distinct color in a 24-bit RGB color space. GIF employs LZW data compression, which does not lose image data during the compression process.
