Codabar Barcode
Codabar is a variable length symbology that allows encoding of the following characters: special characters (- $ / . +) and numbers from (0-9). Codabar is commonly used in libraries, blood banks, and air parcel business for various purposes.
MSI-Plessey Barcode
MSI-Plessey is a variable length, numeric only, symbology. The symbology is one of the earliest bar code symbology ever developed and is based on a four bit binary number scheme. Each symbol contains a check character that is calculated from the values of each of the encoded data digits. The MSI Plessey character set includes the numbers (0-9). MSI-Plessey is used in grocery store shelf marking applications, libraries and other sectors.
Code 93 Barcode
Code 93 is a variable length symbology used in electronic components that can encode uppercase characters (A-Z), numbers (0-9), Special characters including (/, + , %, - , . , $) and "=" (equal) character for space. Code 93 was developed as an enhancement to the Code 39 symbology by providing a slightly higher character density than Code 39. Code 93 also incorporates two check digits as an added measure of security.
Code 11 Barcode
Code 11 barcode is a high-density numeric-only symbology. The symbology is discrete and is able to encode the numbers 0 to 9. It is used in labelling telecommunications equipment.
Interleaved 2of5 Barcode
Interleaved 2of5 is a high density variable length numeric only symbology that encodes digit pairs in an interleaved manner. The odd position digits are encoded in the bars and the even position digits are encoded in the spaces. Because of this, interleaved 2of5 bar codes must consist of an even number of digits. The supportive symbology of the interleaved 2of5 character set consists of barcode symbols representing 0-9 numbers. Interleaved 2of5 bar codes are used on the shipping industry and in laboratories etc.
Code 39 (Code 3 of 9) Barcode
Code 39 is the most popular symbology in the non retail world and is used extensively in manufacturing, military, and health applications for ID, inventory, and tracking purposes. It has a variable length, supports alphanumeric strings, and can be printed at a variety of sizes and aspect ratios. This is the bar code, used anywhere a simple bar code is needed.
